(More customer reviews)This is extremely effective at giving a good, deep, relaxing massage. ANY shiatsu massager is heavenly compared to the cheap vibrating "massage" cushions. But I'm used to the ones at the nail salon, where you can customize the depth, the style (percussion, kneading, rolling), and the position of the shiatsu mechanism. This one, however, only has two functions: high or low, and that's only the speed at which the balls rotate. But I guess that's a good thing, since it was a present to my parents. It's very easy for them to use and operate and they LOVE it (especially considering they've never experienced the more high-tech versions).
One other thing to mention: it's pretty noisy. Not that big of a deal to us, but others might find it disruptive to their relaxation experience. Whatever.
Doesn't have heat, either. Again, we could care less. As good as a trip to a massage clinic.
